Scott Harvey
I connect the software your company already pays for, so the work stops getting typed in twice.
For owner-led companies with a few departments, and a lot of programs that don't talk to each other.
Sound familiar?
- Every order gets typed into two or three programs, and mistakes can show up in any of them.
- Invoices go out late, or get missed, because somebody has to check two places first.
- A call comes in after hours, and nobody calls back until the next day, or worse.
- You pay for software every month and aren't sure anyone still uses it.
- Everything works fine, as long as one particular person isn't out sick.
- Everyone's talking about AI, and you'd like a straight answer on whether it would actually help you.
How I work
I start by looking at how the work moves through your company today. Then I tell you, in writing, what's worth fixing first and what isn't.
If it makes sense, I build it, usually by connecting what you already have rather than replacing it. Sometimes the answer is that you don't need me, and I'll say so.
About me
I started my first company at 21, moving businesses off proprietary minicomputers onto Unix machines with open databases and programs. Our customers ranged from small municipalities to Petco. We grew it to $5 million in revenue in eight years, and sold it.
Since then I've spent most of 30 years doing the same kind of work, getting different programs to talk to each other and to the people who use them. The part I still enjoy most is the day a team stops typing the same thing twice.
